SC🏤 OK on bull-taming🐮❗

  |   India News

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court🙏 stayed✋ the Centre's notification lifting the ban on 'Jallikattu'🐮, the traditional bull-taming sport celebrated in TN, after the Animal Welfare Board moved the SC against the Center's notification❗ The decision was pronounced🔈 by Chief Justice TS Thakur ⚖ of the SC. In what was seen as a move with political undertones in light of the upcoming TN assembly elections, the Ministry Of Environment Forest🌳 and Climate Change recently issued a notification📝 saying that 'bulls 🐃 may be continue to be exhibited or trained as a performing animal, at events such as Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu and bullock cart races 🏃🐃 in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala and Gujarat in the manner by the customs of any community or practiced traditionally under the customs or as part of culture.' TN CM Jayalalithaa had thanked 🙏 PM Modi✌ for allowing 'Jallikattu' for the upcoming Pongal (Sankranti) holidays saying that the 'traditional sport upheld the culture of the state'. Well, will the Judiciary tame the Executive😛⁉
