Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar said that, “ We are committed, we will implement a liquor🍺 ban🚫 in Bihar,” after he launched🚀 a liquor ban campaign to create awareness to encourage voluntary prohibition🚫 in Patna, Bihar. The movement will involve women🙅🏻 and children👦🏻 to create awareness of its ill effects. Nitish said that liquor ban🚫 will be enforced across the state from April 1 but the state govt. will ban liquor phase wise, starting with country-made liquor, then Indian🇮🇳 made, then Foreign. He also said a designated cell would be set up in Patna for strict monitoring🕵 and its telephone numbers would be advertised to the citizens for them to act as informants👀. There are concerns over the financial hindrance as Bihar gets around ₹3,650 cr 💰in revenue from liquor sales annually.
