Reliance Kills🔪 2G in 5⃣ States

Telecom operator Reliance Communications (RCom), with the intent of focusing🔎 on 3G, has ended🚫 2G services in West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Odisha and the Northeast states. RCom lost 8.5 million 2G users👥 as result of ending the service in these areas for its failure to win back 900 Mhz spectrum. RCom said it would focus🔎 on Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh where it has acquired✅ the 900 Mhz spectrum. It has also enhanced its annual investment to ₹4,000 cr💰. Part of the investment will go in upgrading core network for 4G📡 service as well. Their income also declined by 2.9% to ₹5,277 cr💰 compared with ₹5,435 cr💰 last fiscal. They have a roaming agreement✅ with Vodafone for its 3G services where they find a gap in 3G coverage📡.
