Strike❗ Waste Dumped Outside Sisodia's Office

  |   India News

On Thursday, the Municipal employees went on strike⚠ demanding payment of salaries💵 and dumped waste outside deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s camp office in Khichdipur, and Laxmi Nagar and Pandav Nagar. They also hit at least half of the municipality run schools🏫 in Delhi’s north and east, as protesting teachers👵🏻 wouldn’t take any classes. Citizen service bureaus in zonal offices saw low activity as employees reported for duty but refrained🚫 from working. The North mayor, Ravinder Gupta, was forced to address the employees, and shifted the blame to the Delhi🌆 govt. A protester said, "We've heard enough of these figures. We've got nothing to do with the fight👊 between the BJP🔸 and the Delhi government. We are only concerned about getting our salaries💵." Gupta announced, "Kejriwal has stalled municipal reform funds because we did not have a surplus budget💰. I will resign if I do not get him to release your salaries."
