After a 5⃣-year low for China🇨🇳 when their factory activity contracted, Asian🌏 markets have slumped🔻 causing the S&P BSE Sensex plunging 🔻400 points on Monday & the Dow Jones fell 🔻150 points in trade. This trading in the Chinese🇨🇳 stocks markets suspended after shares plunged🔻 about 5%. This morning’s showed showed Chinese manufacturing PMI for Dec declining📉 to 48.2, compared with 48.6 in Nov. The Nifty50, also broke below its crucial⚠ support level of 7,850, with five of ten BSE stocks in the red🔴. Volatility index, India VIX, spiked📈 over 13% indicating increased volatility for Jan. Among the sectoral indices, the BSE Telecom lost highest, slipping🔻 2.32%. INR₹ fell 17 paise to 66.31 against the USD$. Japan's Nikkei fell 🔻2.6% & South Korean Kospi lost 🔻1.53%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index slipped 🔻over 500 points.
