Pranav Dhanawade, a 15-year-old cricketer👦🏻 from Mumbai has broken a 117 year old record😳 after scoring a mammoth 1009 off just 327 deliveries🙏. He had already surpassed the score of 628 scored by Arthur Collins in 1899 as the highest individual score ever in cricket👌. Representing Smt KC Gandhi School🏫, Kalyan, in the HT Bhandari Cup inter-school tournament, Dhanawade began the last day of the two-day game on 652* and went past 1000💪 after lunch when his team declared at 1465-3🙌. Dhanawade's knock included 129 fours and 59 sixes😮. "I have always been a big-hitter. After reaching 300, my coach Harish Sharma told me to play on", says🔊 Pranav.
Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar led the applause for the teenager, tweeting, "Congrats #PranavDhanawade on being the first ever to score 1000 runs in an innings. Well done and work hard. You need to scale new peaks!”
