Food Corporation of India officials caught 'watering' grains in Rajasthan

The officials of Food Corporation of India (FCI) at Chanderia in Chittorgarh are under scanner for 'watering' food grain sacks to increase their weight and selling the 'excess' in the black market.

In the last six months, Chanderia police caught at least 20 trucks with food grains from the FCI godown in the black market.

I followed the tractor and saw it stopping at the gate of one godown and pumping water on packs of wheat," said home guard Mukesh Kumar in a recorded statement to FCI officials.
