Brathwaite, Holder put West Indies in charge

West Indies found themselves ahead of the game in Sharjah, courtesy a stellar century, followed by a spirited bowling effort. Kraigg Brathwaite's unbeaten 142 off 318 steered West Indies to a hard-earned first-innings lead of 56, before Jason Holder made three breakthroughs in a lively spell as West Indies had their tails up after tea on day three. Pakistan lost four wickets before erasing the deficit, but Azhar Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed stabilised the innings with an unbroken 39-run fifth-wicket partnership that warded off further losses and took Pakistan to 87 for 4 by stumps.
