India Women demolish Nepal to maintain unbeaten streak

India 120/5 in 20 overs (Shikha Pandey 39*, Meghana Sabbineni 21; Rubina Chhetry 2-21) beat Nepal 21 in 16.3 overs (Poonam Yadav 3-9, Meghana Sabbineni 2-3, Anuja Patil 2-0) by 99 runs.

Put in to bat first, after the morning drizzle delayed the toss by 15 minutes, India posted a competitive 120 for 5 on the board despite slowing down considerably in the middle overs. All-rounder Shikha Pandey starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 39 off 32 deliveries and was supported by cameos from Vanitha VR and Anuja Patil.

That Nepal were going to collapse sooner than later against India's experienced bowling attack was never in doubt. They were starved for runs throughout as the pacers first left them reeling at 10 for 4 in eight overs before the in-form spinners came into the picture to bowl them out inside 17 overs.
