Alviro Petersen handed two-year ban by CSA

Cricket South Africa (CSA), on Wednesday (December 21), slapped a two-year ban on Alviro Petersen after the former opener admitted to several breaches of the anti-corruption code for personnel.

Petersen was charged with the breach of the anti-corruption code in an investigation by the CSA, in November earlier this year, for his alleged involvement in match-fixing.

Petersen, 36, has reportedly admitted to several of the charges including being a part of the meetings where match-fixing plans were devised for the domestic Twenty20 competition.
