Anurag Thakur denies perjury charge

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Anurag Thakur, who was accused of perjury during a hearing in the Supreme Court on December 15, has categorically denied the charge against him.

The SC had slammed Thakur for misleading the court after he submittedan affidavit where he denied seeking any letter from the International Cricket Council (ICC) against the government interference when the Indian board was ordered to implement the Justice RM Lodha-led panel's recommendations.

"The matter is subjudice and I have full faith in the Indian judicial system," Thakur said in Jaipur on Wednesday (December 21).
