BBL🏆: Renegades Romp😎 to Victory🎉

Melbourne Renegades beat👊 Sydney Thunder comprehensively by 48 runs in their opening game of BBL 2016.

Put into bat, the Renegades reached a total of 175 at the end of 20 overs. Aaron Finch⭐ top scored with a half century and useful cameos from Callum Ferguson & Dwayne Bravo⚡ gave them their competitive first innings score. Pat Cummins⚡ and leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed were the pick of the bowlers for the visitors.

The 2nd innings started in the worst possible fashion for Sydney as Kurtis Patterson chased a wide delivery and was caught at point off the first ball😱. Ryan Gibson and Ben Rohrer tried to get the chase going but the Renegades, lead by the spin💫 duo of Sunil Narine & Brad Hogg, kept getting wickets at regular intervals and tightened their grip on the game. Sydney surrendered meekly at the end😟 to hand a comfortable victory for Melbourne.
