A US🇺🇸 judge has ordered Apple Inc.🍎 to assist the FBI🔎 in unlocking an encrypted iPhone📱. CEO Tim Cook has published an open letter📧 where in he called the demand “chilling😳.” He says that it would “undermine the very freedoms and liberty🗽 our government is meant to protect." The phone📱 in question belonged to one of the San Bernardino shooters who killed 14 people🔫 in California in Dec 2015. It is an iPhone 5c📱 which uses Apple’s default software, and cannot be breached⚠ without the correct passcode, not even by the FBI. The FBI🔎 has taken Apple to court so that it can unlock🔓 it. They don’t want to remove the encryption completely, just increase the limit on the number of enterable passcode**** attempts. But Apple is calling it an "overreach by the US🇺🇸 government," as it infringes on privacy laws.
