As PM Modi looks👀 to turn 🇮🇳 into a defense equipment manufacturing hub, aerospace major Boeing✈ has sent out a reminder to him that they are the major player in the sector. Boeing had lost out on a fighter jet deal✈ to French company Dassault in 2012. Jeff Kohler, VP of Boeing defense's global sales unit. said, "If 🇮🇳 wants to jumpstart an aerospace economy, they should do it with a 💲97 billion company like us rather than a 💲5 billion firm like Dassault😅". About a third of the Indian Air Force's 650 planes✈ are more than 40 years old and set to retire in the next decade. Fighter jet makers like Boeing and Saab AB are eyeing a deal📝 with 🇮🇳 as Modi looks to turn 🇮🇳 from a weapons importer into a weapons manufacturer. Kohler also said that they are ready to make the jets locally if 🇮🇳 & 🇺🇸 come to an agreement.
