Asian stocks rose📈 on Thursday, while government bond prices fell. The Sensex rose📈 over 200 points and Nifty moved closer to its crucial 7,200 psychological level. Buyers were noticeable across all sectors. Capital goods, oil & gas💨, FMCG, banking🏦, realty, metal and pharma indices rose over 1⃣% each. BSE mid-cap & small-cap too increased 1⃣%. The Nifty-50 saw 47 stocks gaining while only 3⃣ declined🔻. The top Nifty gainer was Bank of Baroda🏦, up 4.6% to ₹145. Hindalco, Vedanta, Dr Reddy's Labs, Cairn India, Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank🏦, SBI and ONGC went up🔺 2.2-3.8% each. Crude drove the market rise with oil going up nearly 3⃣% and early Asian trade jumping 7⃣%. Iran’s support for Russia & Saudi’s move to freeze production motivated the rise. Nikkei advanced🔺 2.47% & the Hang Seng rose🔺 2.3%, while Shanghai Composite went up🔺 0.5%.
