On Tuesday, PM Modi✌ has called for a meeting of floor leaders of major political parties🔸✋ in both Houses. This is to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament for the Budget💰 session. This is a rare occasion when an all-party meeting is being initiated by the PM✌. Sonia Gandhi has decided not to attend🚫 it and so the main opposition will be represented by Leader of the Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad. Modi✌ had invited Sonia and Manmohan for high tea☕ before Parliament's winter session to get them on the GST📜 bandwagon. However, the meeting failed as Congress✋ wouldn’t depart from its 3⃣ points of contention on the GST bill. So far now, only M Venkaiah Naidu, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, has convened all-party meetings👥.
