The Supreme Court🏤 today agreed to hear a plea🙏 seeking 'free and fair access to justice' for JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar on an urgent basis😳. The plea also seeks police protection👮 for teachers and journalists who were beaten up👊 by lawyers at Delhi court premises on Monday. A bench led by Chief Justice of 🇮🇳 TS Thakur acknowledged the importance and public interest attached to this issue👍. The petition📝 was filed by a JNU alumni and it said the atmosphere in a court should not be of fear😨. It also implored the court to direct the police👮 to protect JNU students, teachers & journalists who have come to watch👀 or cover the proceedings instead of being party to the perpetrators of violence against them.
