On Sunday, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti praised PM Modi✌ for seeking to give momentum to ties with Pakistan🇵🇰. She said: “I am not power-hungry. I can’t promise whether I will form the government. We aligned with BJP earlier not for the CM’s chair but for the welfare of people. People’s welfare continues to be our top priority and if I choose to assume power, it will be for ushering peace and prosperity in the State.” Mehbooba referred to the JNU🏤 row indirectly saying that no one in 🇵🇰 could say a word against the hanging of Zulfiqar Bhutto, “Unlike Pakistan, India has freedom of speech and people can express their opinion.” She also said that her father💐 knew that PM Modi✌ had the mandate and vision to improve ties with 🇵🇰. She said that ex-PM Manmohan Singh👳🏻 during his 🔟 years in office could not even once visit 🇵🇰 even though he was born there.
