A Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum🏤 in Dehradun has asked a city based Commerce college - BFIT Group of Institutions🏫 - to refund the full admission fees💵 along with an additional amount to a student🎓 who found that the college did not have facilities it had promised during admission😱. The student, Niharika Paliwal, from Jodhpur had joined the college for the 2015-18 course😳 and found that the online advertisements💻 had misled her. She withdrew her admission before the course started and asked for a fee refund💵 in July 2015. The college asked her to wait till September. Upon getting no response💬 from them, she filed a case👏 with a consumer court. The court has now directed the college to pay ₹77,040 admission fees to her👌 along with a penalty of ₹15000 for mental harassment😟 & ₹5000 as cost of litigation.
Well done, Niharika👏.
