A JNU🏤 high-level committee was set up to probe🔎 the event on campus where anti-national slogans were allegedly raised on 9⃣ Feb. It has recommended the expulsion of 5⃣ students, including Kanhaiya Kumar who is out on interim bail. Others include PhD scholars Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, who are in judicial custody👮🏼 on sedition charges. 4⃣ students might face suspension🚫 and others will be fined. Totally, 21 students🙇🏻 are likely to get show-cause notice📄 as to why action shouldn’t be initiated against them. The committee has filed📁 a report which found the students guilty of violating JNU’s🏤 rules and norms. VC and chief proctor A Dimri will make the final decision on the punishment⚠ after scrutinizing the suggestions. However, left-wing student’s groups & teachers👓 have slammed JNU🏤 for banning the students from academic activities even before the report came out. They have said that they won’t accept❌ the report as it hasn’t worked transparently.
