On Tuesday, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi was attacked👊 in Parliament for declaring that he won’t❌ chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'🇮🇳✊ even if a knife🔪 is put to his throat. Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said💬, “I say Bharat Mata ki Jai. But some people have objection with that also.” In the Rajya Sabha🏤, actor-turned-MP Javed Akhtar😎 referred to Owaisi and said he wasn’t a national leader nor a state leader but a mohalla leader from Hyderabad🌆. Akhtar said, “He says he will not say 'Bharat mata ki jai' because the Constitution does not ask him to do so. The Constitution even does not ask him to wear sherwani (dress) and topi (cap)." Akhtar said he didn’t care whether saying 'Bharat mata ki jai'🇮🇳✊ was his duty or not, he said it was more importantly his right. Akhtar then chanted 'Bharat mata ki jai'🇮🇳✊ several times. He also condemned👎 right-wing extremists who say Muslims should go to Pakistan🇵🇰.
