Facebook👤 may have seemed cordial😊 with Mark Zuckerberg congratulating👏 G👀gle on their AlphaGo victory against Lee Sedol, but there’s more behind the smiles. Even if Mark was sincere in his congratulation, that doesn’t mean everyone at FB👤 think G👀gle deserves any. Facebook’s head of Artificial Intelligence (AI)💡 research, Yann LeCun said💬, “Congrats to the DeepMind AlphaGo team for this Grand Slam. Now, can you do it purely through reinforcement learning, without pre-training the convolutional net on recorded games between humans?” He said that the power of human learning👶🏻 shouldn’t be discounted too quickly. He also joked that the AphaGo’s successor should be called “BettaGo.”😆 He also dismissed👎 AlphaGo’s claims that they were close to true AI and said that it seemed like a “giddy overstatement.😻” Lee just might be right, but until Facebook’s own “reinforcement learning” wins🎉 a Go game, G👀gle keeps the trophy🏆.
