Delhi to Observe👁 Earth Hour🌏

Earth Hour🌎⏰ is to be observed by switching off electrical appliances between 8:30 P.M & 9.30 P.M on 19th March. Delhiites will join a billion people in over 6000 cities for the 10th edition of the event👏. Power distribution companies are sending text messages📱, newsletters and memos📑 to individual households🏡, Residents' Welfare Associations and other communities imploring them to switch off lights for an hour to conserve energy. BSES has appealed to its 37 lakh customers to support the event by voluntarily switching off non-essential electrical appliances during Earth Hour. BSES even came up with a novel solution for the predicament of the 🇮🇳vs 🇵🇰game🏏 coinciding with the Earth Hour. They suggested friends and family👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 to get together and watch the game📺 at one place. The Earth Hour is an annual international event created by WWF🐼 to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change. Last year Delhi saved around 200MW through this initiative😃. This year the campaign, endorsed by Shikar Dhawan⭐, will focus on the potential of solar energy☀ as a viable and renewable source of power.
