Assam CM Tarun Gogoi has been found to have blatantly defied❌ the Election Commission🗳 (EC) which has filed an FIR📝 against him. The EC🗳 asked Gogoi not to hold a press conference👥 as it would be in violation⛔ of the code of conduct. Gogoi then attacked😡 the EC of being partisan and went ahead with the press conference👥 and also dared the EC to act against him. District election officer of Kamrup (Metro) then registered an FIR📝 against Gogoi for violating Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act📜. The act prohibits🚫 “any election matter by means of television or similar apparatus” within 48 hours of closure of polls📥. Gogoi had also complained a few weeks ago that some EC officials had started acting in a biased manner. He specifically complained⚠ against Kamrup & Deputy M Angamuthu saying that they had illegally removed Congress✋ posters in Guwahati.
