Ever since Bombay High Court⚖ upheld the fundamental right of women👩 to pray, activists across Maharashtra were taking on temple administrations. Lately, the Trimbakeshwar temple in Nashik was the centre stage of the issue. On Wednesday, temple authorities and several female devotees🙏 prevented activists of Swarajya Sanghatana from entering😳 the temple which led to a tussle👊 between them. The temple authorities said that the permission was denied because the activists violated🚫 the dress code. Swarajya Sanghatana denied the claim and said that they strictly followed all conditions. The organisations president Vanita Gutte said, “I was standing along with my fellow activists in the queue since 5 a.m. We strictly followed the dress code, yet some priests and women devotees deliberately obstructed us from entering the sanctum.” However, more than 200 people were booked under serious😱 charges and the Police👮 assured that necessary actions will be taken soon.
