Delhi: Diesel Car🚗 Ban⛔

  |   India News

The Supreme Court🏛 upheld the ban⛔ on registration of diesel vehicles🚗 above 2000cc & adjourned a special day-long hearing on the matter till May 9⃣th. The order to ban registration of diesel-run vehicles with engine capacity of 2000cc was imposed till March 31st & then extended till April 30th. The court has refused to grant more time⏲ to the taxi operators in the NCR to switch from diesel to compressed natural gas(CNG) as the deadline had already been extended twice. Though the court allowed the Delhi Police👮 to purchase 197 heavy duty vehicles, a 30% environment compensation was charged on the total cost of the vehicle. Similarly, the Delhi Jal Board has been given permission to purchase 250 vehicles to 240 vehicles, which have been in service for more than 10 years.
