The IPL Governing Council has announced📢 that Visakhapatnam will be the new 'home' ground for Mumbai🔷Indians and Rising Pune💪Supergiants after the Bombay High Court had directed the BCCI to shift IPL matches in Maharashtra elsewhere after May 1st due to a drought☀ in the state. While the news will come as a major disappointment😞 for cricket fans in Jaipur (MI had originally planned to play their home matches there), fans in New Delhi got some cheer👍 after it was also announced that the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 (originally scheduled to be held in Pune) were awarded to the Feroz Shah Kotla👌.
Mumbai changed their 'home venue' over apprehensions over a PIL which was filed in Rajasthan High Court, challenging the decision to allow IPL matches in the state😑. Qualifier 1 will be played in Bengaluru on May 24 as originally scheduled. Delhi will host the Eliminator on May 25 and the Qualifier 2 on May 27. The IPL final will also be held in Bengaluru on May 29📆.
