🇨🇳China has elevated the authority of its Tibet Military Command👮, according to state media who also added that the formation will now be directly under the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The move is seen as China's preparation for a possible conflict💥 with India🇮🇳. The formation in Tibet is currently under China's Western Theatre Command😯, with its headquarters at Chengdu in Sichuan Province. Media agencies📺 associated with the Communist Party of China‘s mouthpiece📢, the People’s Daily, have claimed the move represents the facilitation of some kind of military combat mission😱 in the future. Zhao Zhong, an officer in the Tibet Military Command, was quoted as saying🔈, "The elevation of the authority level is not only an improvement for the troops' designation, but also an expansion of their function and mission". 🇮🇳India and 🇨🇳China share a nearly 4000-km disputed border demarcated by the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
