Manchester United♦ have announced📢 that the club posted a record quarterly revenue of £123.4 million💰 for the period of January to March 2016. The news📰 was delivered by CEO Ed Woodward who also said that United are on course to become the first ever British sports team to earn £500 million in a business year😱. The record revenues come as a surprise as United crashed out of the Champions League🙆 in December. It further reaffirms the Old Trafford club's position as a major financial powerhouse💪 despite no-so-great results on the field😏. United may miss out on the Champions League for next season also but it doesn't seem to be affecting the club's revenues💵, helped in no small part by the club's huge global fan base👏.
