The Supreme Court🏤 has ordered the Kerala Police👮 to probe allegations about wife-swapping among⚓ Naval officers. A Special Investigation Team🔎 (SIT) will be headed by a DIG rank officer and has been ordered to conduct the probe within 3⃣ months. There have also been FIRs in 2013 indicating that 3⃣other naval officers⚓ and the spouse of one officer were indulging in wife-swapping. The court refused❌ to direct the CBI🕵 to investigate the charges saying💬, “The power to direct CBI to conduct probe must be used rarely only if there is lack of confidence in the probing agency or for doing justice in the matter. The facts in which the offense is alleged to have been committed can be better probed by the state police.” Kerala Police👮 have said that they have already probed 70 witnesses👁 in the case. The woman who filed the case said that her husband, her parents-in-law and sister-in-law had subjected her to physical and mental cruelty😯.
