Yahoo❕ is in its second phase of bids from buyers like Verizon, TPG, Sycamore Partners and Vista Equity Partners and Bain Capital. Bain/Vista exec Ross Levinsohn, Bill Wise and Ken Fuchs are involved in the bidding🔨. Ex-Yahoo execs👔 like Dan Rosensweig and Tim Cadogan have also been advising Quicken Loans💰 founder and Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. Rosensweig worked at Yahoo❕ between 2002 & 2006 as COO😎, and Cadogan, worked in its search🔎 and advertising businesses between 2003 & 2008. They’re assumed to be acting as advertisers and not really interested in taking a managerial😎 role in Yahoo. As per a report earlier today, Warren Buffet too may play into the deal. Although Buffett has moved away from tech📱 investments, he is still close to Gilbert & the investment could give him ongoing cash💵 interest which he can later convert it to equity. The core should sell for about 💲4⃣ bn, considering first the 💲1.2 billion in patents and real estate.
