Liverpool🔴 drew 1⃣-1⃣ at West Brom in their final game of the season. The Reds rested most of their their first teamers, as they have a final to play in 3 days time. The Baggies took the lead, when youngster Luko👶 capitalized on a misplaced ball from Allen, drove through the midfield and put Rondon⚽ through, who scored from a tight angle. Jordan Ibe's⚡ goal ten minutes later, leveled the scores. Ibe turned a defender near the half way line and ran through the defense and finished with his left foot. West Brom threatened in the second half and Rondon came close to scoring many a time. The Venezuelan hit the post and skied his shot off the rebound😖 early in the second half. While West Brom substitutes were youngsters(Roberts & Fields) making their debut, Liverpool introduced Henderson & Ings, returning from injury layoffs. Though a victory on the final day would've been nice, both teams weren't overtly disappointed with the result.
Fittingly the last game of the season for Champions Leicester City🐺 was against Chelsea🔵. It was Guus Hiddink's👔 final game in charge at Stamford Bridge and ended 1-1. The first 45' was goalless thanks to wonderful saves from Schmeichel✋. At the other end, Vardy and Mahrez⚡ had half chances, but couldn't convert. Twenty minutes into the second half, Matic💪 was brought down inside the penalty box by Schlupp. Fabregas converted the penalty and put the Blues in the lead. The Foxes restored parity through an audacious strike from Drinkwater in the 81st minute😮. The thirsty midfielder blasted🚀 a shot from a long way out, that fizzed past a diving Courtois.Though both teams have had contrasting seasons, they would be looking forward to the start of the next with equal vigour.
