The Supreme Court🏤 said that students who appeared in National Eligibility Entrance Test-I📄 (NEET) on 1 May for MBBS and BDS admissions can’t appear for the NEET-II📄 on 24 July. The S🏤C said that they may consider allowing states conducting their own tests📝 to continue with the process of admission for the current academic alone. However, they deferred🕣 the decision till 9 May. Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar would apprise the SC🏤 regarding the Centre’s stance. The SC🏤 also restated its earlier view on private colleges🏢 holding separate entrance tests saying💬 "it is clarified that no examination shall be permitted to be held for admission to MBBS or BDS studies by any private college or association or any private/deemed university."
