KingsXI Punjab👑 had a steady start to the innings, after being put in to bat by the Delhi Daredevils😈 skipper, Zaheer Khan⭐. After Murali Vijay fell, Hashim Amla walked in to his first ever IPL game, much to the crowd's delight. However, their joy was short lived, as the South African had a forgettable debut😟. A misunderstanding with his partner Marcus Stoinis, found both the batsmen in the same end of the pitch and Amla had to walk back after scoring just 1⃣. Wriddhiman Saha and Stoinis stuck in and kept the scoreboard ticking. Both scored half centuries at a healthy strike rate👍. Quick runs from Axar Patel⚡ and David Miller towards the end nudged the score to 181.
DD openers started brightly☀ and opener QDK marked his return to the starting XI with a belligerent👊 fifty. Once he fell in the 7th over, Sanju Samson👶 and Karun Nair played steadily and scored 51 runs in the next 5⃣ overs. Marcus Stoinis struck crucial blows with the ball and brought his team back into the game👏, finishing with figures of 3 for 40. Impressive death bowling from the likes of Mohit Sharma and Sandeep Sharma kept the big hitters at bay✋ and ensured a win for Kings XI Punjab. Consecutive losses for DD has given the team think tank lots to ponder🤔.
