India🇮🇳 has officially become the 35th member of the Missile Technology Control Regime🚫🚀 (MTCR) and will now be entitled to “full participation” in organisational activities such as the Oct 2016 plenary in South Korea🇰🇷. The MTCR🚫🚀 is a partnership between 34 countries to prevent🚫 the proliferation of missile 🚀and unmanned aerial vehicle technology✈ capable of carrying a 500 kg payload💣 for at least 300 km. The MTCR🚫🚀 said that they were convinced that India’s🇮🇳 membership will strengthen the international efforts to aid nuclear non-proliferation🚫🚀. Membership will now allow India to purchase💰 high-end missile technology and also enhance its joint ventures with Russia. India’s membership to the MTCR was boosted after it joined The Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation🚫🚀 (HCoC) earlier this month. In 2015, Italy🇮🇪 blocked🚫 India’s membership as India had imprisoned its 2⃣ marines after an international incident. It so happens that China🇨🇳 is not a member of the MTCR.
