The World Champions👑 Germany eased into the quarters after defeating 🇸🇰Slovakia 3⃣ - 0⃣. After an unconvincing😕 group stage, Germany has peaked at the right time👍. Joachim Low's👔 side took control of the game⚽ from the beginning itself and scored in the 8⃣th minute🕐. Jerome Boateng's stunning volley👌 from 23 yards gave Germany the early lead. Minutes later they were awarded a😳 penalty but Mesut Özil⭐ failed to convert it. Germany continued to attack👊 and create a lot of chances but they had to wait until the 43rd minute for the 2⃣nd goal⚽. Julian Draxler😎 danced through the defence to find Mario Gomez🌟 who just had to tap in. Germany were slightly on the backfoot in the 2⃣nd half but Slovakia were still unable to create any clear chance😞. Draxler's goal⚽ in the 63rd minute ended Slovakia's hopes🙏 for a comeback. But Slovakia should be proud👏 of their campaign as they have surpassed all expectations. On the hand, 🇩🇪Germany goes into the quarters with the very much needed confidence✌.
