In the 21st Mann Ki Baat today - his monthly radio📻 address to the nation - PM Modi focused👀 on the robustness of India's democracy. Recalling the night of 25th June 1975, when Indira Gandhi declared an emergency🚨, he said that it was the darkest night of our democracy😟. He said that 'Mann Ki Baat' is criticised a lot and that was possible only because of our democracy. AAP often maintain that PM keeps mum😷 on important issues and only opens his mouth for Mann Ki Baat😅. His comments assume significance especially because Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had accused😠 Modi of creating an emergency-like situation in Delhi after arresting several AAP MLAs and ministers⛓.
In a bid to get citizens to pay taxes properly💰, Modi also announced during the address that people with undisclosed assets have an opportunity to declare📢 them before September 30. He further highlighted the success of his 'Beti Bachao👧, Beti Padhao' campaign and also expressed pride at the news of 3 women👩 fighter pilots being inducted into the Air Force. The PM also applauded👏 the students who contributed to the ISRO satellite launch🚀 conducted recently, "Students from Pune built the satellite that was launched by ISRO. This satellite signifies the skills and aspirations of the youth of India".
