IAF Inducts Tejas✈ Fighter Craft

On Friday, in Bengaluru🌆, the IAF🇮🇳 (Indian Air Force) will raise the first squadron of Tejas🛩 – the Indian-made combat fighter. 2⃣ fighters will be inducted into the force at an inaugural ceremony💐 and handed over to the LCA🛩 (Light Combat Aircraft) squadron’s ‘Flying Daggers’🗡. The craft were constructed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and will probably perform a sortie➰ during the ceremony. The squadron will be based in Bengaluru for the first 2⃣ years before going to Sulur in TN. A total of 6⃣ aircraft will be constructed by the end of FY17 and 8⃣ in the next year. The Tejas will cost around ₹300 cr💰 and can fly 1,3500 Kmph ⏱and can be compared to the F-16. It is a single-engine, multi-role, supersonic✈ fighter, weighing 8.5 tonnes and can carry 3⃣ tonnes of arms and ammunitions🔫. It is also superior to Pakistan🇵🇰 and China’s🇨🇳 JF-17.
