Dattu Bhokanal👨 was a nobody before 2012. He was a normal boy from one of Maharashtra's poorest😞 regions who solely depended on agriculture👳 to survive. But his father's death😔 in 2011 forced him to join the 🔫Army and in 2012 he followed his 👮superior's advice to try rowing. And today, he is the only 🇮🇳Indian rower to make it to Rio🎉. When Bhokanal qualified👍 for the Olympics by winning✌ Silver at the regatta in South Korea🇰🇷, he didn't even know what😳 Olympics is. He now has only one dream👌 and it is to win a medal🏅 in Rio. "I have so many problems at home. My father is dead, my mother is paralysed, our fields are dry, we're in debt ... so I need to win, to support my family and have a better life," he 🔈says.
