Legendary💫 Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is set to become the 1st cricketer from the Island nation👏 to be included in the ICC Hall of Fame✨. Ironically, the honour comes amid controversy💥 regarding Murali's role with Australian team which he ultimately had to resign following scathing comments😡 from the Sri Lankan cricket board. Muralitharan is cricket's all-time highest wicket-taker with 800 wickets in Tests and 534 wickets in ODIs🙌.
Murali will be joined by late Australian cricketer Arthur Morris (a veteran of 46 Tests), late Englishman George Lohmann ( 100 wickets in just 16 Tests), and former Australian Women’s cricketer, Karen Rolton👏. ICC Chief Executive David Richardson👔 congratulated the quartet on this achievement.
