The head of United Kingdom's (UK) Iraq war inquiry🔍, Sir John Chilcot, has delivered scathing criticism😡 of then PM Tony Blair for his decision to go to war in 2003💥. His report mentioned that Britain chose to join the US invasion before peaceful options for disarmament had been exhausted👎. Chilcot said that UK's decision to attack🔫 and occupy a sovereign state was a decision of 'utmost gravity😱'. The report also criticises😠 the way Blair proposed to go to war. Blair had claimed that Iraq had chemical and biological weapons💥. But the dossier📜 Blair had presented to substantiate his claims were not conclusive😏. It also claimed that the ruling Labour party failed to anticipate the disastrous effects of the war😳.
Blair responded, regretfully saying that it was one of the toughest decisions😲 he had to make😟 - "I feel deeply and sincerely in a way no words can convey." He also admitted that the intelligence reports📝 turned out to be false and the outcome was a bloody one👎.
