WI🆚IND: Rain⛈ Plays Spoilsport; IND Lead😌 by 304
By Shadowfax🐎
Rain⛈ interrupted play on day 3 of the 2nd Test between India and West Indies twice😟 as the visitors batted themselves to a lead of 304 runs before declaring their first innings👏.
India resumed the day on 358/5 but could only add 142 runs in 46.1 overs, thanks to disciplined fields😉 and defensive bowling from the West Indians. Rahane (108) batted assuredly👍 along with Saha (47) as India looked to bat Windies out of the game and make early inroads👀. But the going was slow. After Saha was dismissed by Jason Holder, Mishra gave Rahane a company as he chased his 7th Test ton💯. It looked like Kohli was waiting for him to get to his century before declaring but the defensive tactics👌 made sure that Rahane had to milk hard for each run. Kohli finally declared after Rahane got to his century😯 and India's lead went past 300. In between, off-spinning all-rounder Roston Chase got a five-for😅.
A storm has been forecast for day 4🙆 and there is a chance the day might be washed off. It remains West Indies' only hope🙏 of salvaging this Test.
