Pakistan have gained a first innings lead of 103 runs👏 after a brilliant century💯 from Azhar Ali in the 3⃣rd Test between England and Pakistan at Birmingham. Sami Aslam (82) and Azhar Ali (139) had stitched a 182-run partnership👌 on day 2 to get the visitors off to a great start. Though Aslam was run out, Azhar found able partners👍 in Younis Khan (31) and Misbah-ul-Haq (56). At one point, Pakistan looked set for a huge first innings😌 score but 3 quick strikes from Woakes and Broad derailed the Pakistani innings🙆. No other batsman apart from Sarfraz Ahmed (46*) offered any kind of resistance😏 as they lost their last 5⃣ wickets for just 42 runs to end their innings at 400 on 2nd session of day 3😟.
Though the lead did not swell to the proportions they expected it to😯, Pakistani still hold the advantage here on a testing track💪. England will have to bat out of their skins to set a challenging total for Pakistan.
