Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: Julius Berger to work at night

Following extensive gridlock usually experienced by motorists and travellers on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway due to ongoing repair of the road by Julius Berger, the Ogun State government has directed the contractor not to work during rush hour.

The directive signed and issued on Saturday by the Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, indicated that from Monday, "the contractor will not work on Lagos- Ibadan Expressway during rush hour, namely from 6 am to 10 am and between 4 pm and 10 pm."

We also invested heavily on redesigning the security architecture of the state by deploying Armoured Personnel Carriers, Quick Response Squad, Operation MESA and the state Traffic Enforcement and Compliance Agency."
