Australia are under pressure😟 in the first Test against South Africa at Perth after being set a target of 539 runs. The Aussies are currently in a spot of bother at 84/2 with 4 more sessions left to play😏.
South Africa extended their lead💪 in the morning, thanks to Quinton de Kock (64) and Vernon Philander (73) who put on a 116-run partnership👏. Debutant Keshav Maharaj also chipped in with a few lusty blows💪 as Faf du Plessis decided to declare and set Australia an improbable target of 539 runs🎯.
In reply, Australia started at a brisk pace💨 with Warner looking in good touch. But an inspired bit of fielding from Temba Bavuma saw Warner caught short🙆 of the crease and the opener had to walk back. In the same over, Rabada had Marsh edge to 2nd slip but Smith and Khawaja have played sensibly👍 to stretch the score to 84/2 at tea.
