Tuesday, November 8, is General Election Day for most Americans. However, Millions will have already voted by then, it's been estimated that a record 40% of all votes were cast before Election Day. Some states allow voters to change their early ballot after it's been cast Wisconsin; Minnesota; Michigan; Pennsylvania; New York; Connecticut; and Mississippi.
The USA has historically had a low voter turnout, only 54% of the voting-age population cast a ballot in 2012. Contrast this with Belgium, where there's a voter turnout of 90%.
