India have finally managed👏 to bowl out England for 537 before ending day 2 at 63/0, after both the openers got them off to a steady start🐢.
England made merry in the first 2 sessions🎉, thanks to Ben Stokes who hit a fluent 128 after Moeen Ali got to his ton💯 earlier. Indian bowlers toiled hard on a pitch suited for batting😯 but they had their fielding to blame after putting down several catches. Stokes was ably supported👍 by Johnny Bairstow (46) and Zafar Ansari (32), who piled on the misery😓 on India. By the time India bowled them out, the score had reached mammoth proportions😑.
In reply, India started extremely cautiously⚠ with both openers intent on playing out the day without any damage😳. Gambhir (28*), who looked a bit scrappy😓 against the pacers looked good once the spinners came on while Murali Vijay was his usual calm self, offering a dead bat to the probing lines the Englishmen bowled😅.
India will need to apply themselves🙌 and bat through day 3 if they harbour any hopes of avoiding an unpleasant start to the series.
