'No Scotland players would get into a combined XI, but they can still upset England'

Peter Reid has warned the current generation of England players to be on their guard when they face Scotland at Wembley on Friday night - even if not a single Scot would get into a combined XI.

Reid, who played for England at the 1986 World Cup and Euro 88, says Gordon Strachan’s under-fire Scotland side will be desperate for an upset in their World Cup qualifier.

“There’s one thing you’re going to get when England play Scotland and it’s that the Scots will be up for this game more than anyone, and knowing Scotland’s manager as I do, I tell you what: this will be a tight game," said Reid.
