It’s jail or deportation for 3 million migrants without papers, says Donald Trump

Donald Trump will keep his campaign promise to deport millions of undocumented migrants from the United States, the US president-elect said in an interview to be broadcast on Sunday, declaring that as many as three million could be removed after he takes office.

"What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be even three million," Trump told CBS News.

However, House Speaker and top Republican leader Paul Ryan struck a different tone, saying that despite Trump's campaign rhetoric, lawmakers were not prepared to form a deportation force to round up and deport undocumented immigrants.
