Amelie Mauresmo steps down as France's Fed Cup captain

Amelie Mauresmo has stepped down as France's Fed Cup captain, as she is expecting her second child.

Mauresmo, who took over as Fed Cup captain in 2013 and also coached top-ranked Andy Murray, said her pregnancy won't allow her to captain France during the 2017 campaign.

The two-time Grand Slam champion said she did not let players know about her decision before Monday because she wanted "the girls to be 100 percent focused on the final."
